About The Lillie Center

Thursday, February 4, 2010

The Lillie Center Inc. (TLCI) is a small Georgia-based public health training firm that is working to end the harm from water fluoridation. TLCI was formed in middle Tennessee in 2004. We began efforts to end fluoridation soon after forming TLCI, when Dr. Lillie encountered a skin condition that caused us to investigate whether the area’s fluoridated water might have caused the condition. We worked from 2004 through April 2007 in Tennessee, and then the corporation moved to the mountain community of Ellijay in North Georgia, where we have been located since. We’re involved in the fluoride work because when we learned about the harm fluoridated water causes, Dr. Lillie did not feel it would be morally right to take steps to protect our own families, yet not care about the people around us. So we have since 2004 devoted most of TLCI’s time and focus toward ending fluoridation.

Daniel G. Stockin, MPH, coordinates our efforts toward ending fluoridation. Mr. Stockin is the former manager of the EPA Western Regional Lead Training Center. He has real-world experience in hazardous materials management, toxics assessment, and environmental health. He has worked in public health and environmental health for more than 20 years.
